HISTORY The Canon-McMillan Hockey Association was founded in 1994 when it entered the South Hills Interscholastic Hockey League (SHIHL). As a new member of the SHIHL, Canon Mac competed in the Single-A Division until moving to the 'AA' level in 1995 based on student enrollment. In 1999, the SHIHL and Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (WPIHL) merged to form the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League (PIHL), at which time Canon-McMillan became a founding member of the PIHL. In 2003, the Varsity Team was crowned division champions for the first time in their existence and backed it up with a first-round playoff victory. The 2003-04 season marked the 10th season for Canon Mac hockey, and a new jersey and logo were unveiled to start the 11th season of play, marking a season that boasted the club's most successful campaign on the ice. The 2004-05 Varsity Team won another division title and spent 3 months as the #1-ranked 'AA' team in the state, the Freshman Team won 12 regular season games and a playoff game, and the Developmental Team posted a winning season and notched 2 wins in their post-season tournament. |
