Bethel Park 2 Canon-McMillan goals: Jill Horan, Zach Mansmann, Luc Tilley (2), Garrett Woznichak, Luc Lavella Canon-McMillan assists: Luc Lavella, Michael Bohlander, Zach Mansmann (3), Nate Bernardi Canon-McMillan goaltending: Ryan Christian SUMMARY: Jill Horan opened the scoring before Canon-Mac completed their first shift change, assisted by Luc Lavella one minute into the first period. But two minutes later, the young Macs faced a 2-1 deficit after two loose pucks found Bethel Park sticks in front of the Canon-Mac goal at 10:21 and 9:20. Zach Mansmann answered just 39 seconds later, burying a rebound from Michael Bohlander's shot from the point, to tie the game 2-2. Canon-Mac came out firing in the second period, out-shooting Bethel Park 15-2. Luc Tilley scored on the first shift of the period, assisted by Mansmann and Trevor Barnes, and Garrett Woznichak scored one minute later, assisted by Nate Bernardi. Luc Lavella roofed a backhand shot at the 4:51 mark after a dominating shift in the Bethel Park zone, assisted by Mansmann and Tilley. Mansmann recorded the helper with his third assist of the night after racing down the left side, pulling up, and feeding Tilley in front of the net to close out the scoring with 1:13 left in the second period. Char Valley 1 Canon-McMillan goals: Shane Morgan Canon-McMillan assists: Jill Horan, Garrett Woznichak Canon-McMillan goaltending: Kyle Stawowczyk, 12 saves SUMMARY: Shane Morgan tallied a power play goal with 22 seconds remaining in the first period, assisted by Jill Horan and Garrett Woznichak, to give Canon-Mac an early lead. The young Macs relied on tenacious back-checking and solid defense, as well as spectacular goal-tending by Kyle Stawowczyk, to preserve the lead until late in the third period, when Char Valley pulled their goalie and managed a game-tying goal with 44 seconds left in the game..

The young Macs controlled the first period, out-shooting South Fayette 13-1. Jonathan Deppen scored at 5:41, assisted by Zach Mansmann and Luc Tilley, and Jill Horan scored on the power play at 1:03 to make it 3-0 after one period. Mansmann waited for his second shift of the second period to score again, assisted by Luc Tilley and Jill Horan, to make it 4-0. Cleat Winschell tallied on the power play, assisted by John Manda, to give Canon-Mac a 5-0 lead late in the second period. Deppen scored his second goal on the first shift of the third period, assisted by Mansmann and Winschell, and got his first Canon-Mac hat trick with another goal two minutes later, setup again by Mansmann. Nate Bernardi stuffed home a rebound of Greg Pointek's shot, and Luc Lavella setup Jill Horan for a short-handed goal to close out the scoring at 9-0. Canon Mac 1 Canon-McMillan goals: Greg Pointek Canon-McMillan assists: Jill Horan Canon-McMillan goaltending: Ryan Christian, 27 saves SUMMARY: Canon Mac took the early lead when Jill Horan found Greg Pointek for a breakout, and Pointek sped past the Wheeling Park defense, went backhand-forehand to fake the goalie, and sent the puck top-shelf for a 1-0 lead at 8:46 of the first period. Canon-Mac controlled the first two periods in a very physical game, out-shooting the Patriots 15-12, but gave up the tying goal at 1:14 into the second period and did not manage to maintain the pace in the third, getting outshot 13-1 in the period. Ryan Christian stopped 21 straight shots, including a flashy glove save on a breakaway, to preserve the tie.
